and WELSH ROADSTER.
In his younger days he was originally trained for and raced on the 1/2-mile pony trotting tracks in Southern CA. This little guy would Never break into a canter when harnessed, no way, no how, and WOW did he have Speed!!! His action was natural, as he only wore his 10 oz shoes in pleasure driving, and UN-weighted quarter boots in the roadster classes. When Mom and I found him in 1979, he had been a teaser pony for a Quarter Horse ranch for many years, and he was 15 yrs old then. He Loved to work and to get out and train Every Day, when he saw me get his harness out he would whinny and trot around in his stall because he knew he was going to work! He had the best disposition for a stallion, he was Never mouthy and enjoyed every minute of life!! The Only thing he did NOT Like was for me to sit on his back, that was a NO-NO!! LOL. But harness him and he would go all day long. He was my best buddy. ~Jane
